Want to change the world? Listen to Your Heart...

"You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it’s better to listen to what it has to say" Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

One thing I’ve realized on this wild journey called life, is that nobody really knows what they’re doing. And no one way works for everyone. So the only way to be successful in this life is to find out what success means to you.

Generations of us humans are still reeling from the exponential changes that have occurred on every level of our existence in the past few decades. Nothing is the same, and nothing is guaranteed. Recessions have showed us our "stable" jobs, are not as stable as we once thought.

Natural disasters have shaken us to the core, waking us up to the fact that our behaviors have a massive impact on our environment, not in some future world, but here and now.

The internet has shown us that our personal world and the whole world are deeply connected, and one in the same. Everyone, and everything is connected.

So what does this mean to us? Well, I believe we can take on the world, by choosing to take on our world. Creating a ripple effect of positive change by owning what we can. Our own happiness and well being.

We've been conditioned to suppress our feelings and our emotions, to not trust them. But in the wild that's all there is. There is no logical thinking... there is only feelings.

It is scientifically proven that our heart actually sends more signals to our brain than our brain does to our heart. Why would we be designed or evolved to have a greater information highway leading from the heart to the brain, if the heart didn't have something to say?

It is safe to feel, it is safe to trust our heart, and not only is it safe to listen, but it is imperative to our purpose. We don't take interest in certain things on accident, and we don't get that feeling of being filled up and whole and happy for no reason. These are signs from our truest, highest self, guiding our way towards that which will fulfill us most. And what fulfills us most is the greatest gift we have to offer the world.

Because it is this that will light you up and allow you to shine, inspiring others and giving them permission to do the same. Doing that which you love draws a level of stamina, dedication, commitment, and creativity that can only be drawn out by love. Passion makes real change.

And your happiness will create a ripple effect of happiness throughout the world. So listen, find a space to get quiet in and listen close. What is your heart saying to you?
